If you have ever tried an American chocolate like Hershey’s, you may have noticed it tastes and smells off.
Hershey’s chocolate contain butyric which is the same chemical found in vomit!
The chemical butyric is also naturally found in food such as milk, butter, bread, soft chews, cheese and sauerkraut.
Butyric acid can be used to enhance food flavour and preserve food. However, there are other options for food preservation that don’t smell as bad.
American chocolate also contains less cocoa but more milk than its european counterparts.
